I’m Nana-Yaw Oppong, the founder and creative force behind this evolving artistic space. My work is rooted in African heritage and shaped by a deep commitment to celebrating the richness, depth, and evolution of Black culture.

As a multidisciplinary creative, I work across painting, drawing, sketching, video direction, photography, production, design, and storytelling. But BerrySteeze is not limited to one medium. I believe art exists everywhere — in music, film, performance, fashion, culinary expression, and digital creation. Creativity is not boxed into one form; it is a way of life.

Born and raised in Ghana, West Africa, I carry the traditions, stories, and spirit of home into everything I create. Now based in the US, I’ve witnessed the gap in how African and Ghanaian art is perceived and understood. Through BerrySteeze, my mission is to bridge that gap — presenting our culture not only as history, but as living, evolving, and powerfully contemporary.

At the core of everything I build is one belief:

Looking ahead, my vision extends beyond my own work. BerrySteeze aims to nurture young talents in Ghana and around the world by creating workshops, mentorship programs, and access to resources across all forms of art — from music and film to painting, acting, and beyond. The goal is simple: to give gifted young creatives the support and space they need to grow confidently into their purpose.
